16 Muskoka towns · 20 airports

Cottage, resort and airport cars from Gravenhurst to Dorset and Parry Sound, to Pearson, Billy Bishop, Muskoka Airport and every major airport in Ontario; fly-in arrivals from the rest of Canada met through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network.

MuskokaLimousineServices.com runs pre-booked, chauffeured trips from Muskoka to the big Toronto venues: Rogers Centre, Scotiabank Arena, BMO Field and Rogers Stadium at Downsview. The trip from Muskoka to Rogers Centre is about 167 km from Gravenhurst, usually two hours off-peak. The drive down is rarely the problem. The problem is the drive home at midnight, after the final out, with a cottage road at the end of it.

This page explains how a game or concert night works from Muskoka: what each venue is like for a car, what Highway 400 looks like on a game evening, when GO Transit or the bus is the smarter choice, and how to plan the pickup so the car is there when you walk out.

How do you get from Muskoka to Rogers Centre for a game or concert?

Drive south on Highway 11 to Barrie, join Highway 400 south, then follow the 401 and the Gardiner Expressway into downtown. From Gravenhurst it is about 167 km, usually two hours off-peak. On a game evening, allow well over three hours back. A pre-booked chauffeured car removes the parking and the late drive.

That is the short version. The longer one depends on where in Muskoka you start, when the event ends and how many people are in the car. A family of four at a Saturday matinee has a different problem from eight friends at an evening concert, and a host with clients in the back has a third.

Everything here is pre-booked. There is no hailing and no meter. The online booker shows a fixed, all-inclusive fare for your exact pickup, drop-off and vehicle before you pay, and one booking can carry a return trip and extra stops.

Which Toronto venues does the service cover?

Each venue behaves differently for a car. Addresses below are as the venues publish them.

VenueAddressRail linkWhat matters for a car
Rogers CentreDowntown, close to Union StationUnion Station (TTC, GO)Heavy congestion around Blue Jays games; agree the drop-off point in advance
Scotiabank Arena40 Bay St., northwest corner of Lake Shore Blvd. West and Bay St.Union Station (TTC, GO)Event garage has a 2 m height limit

Rogers Stadium81 YZD Lane, Downsview; drop-off lot entrance at 111 Beffort Rd.Downsview Park station (TTC subway, GO Barrie line)Strict lot rules, concert-day closures, very limited parking

The arena's address and its Union Station link are on its own getting here page. The Exhibition Place address is on the Exhibition Place site, which lists BMO Field and Toronto FC among its tenants. The Rogers Stadium details come from its getting here page. Venues change their arrangements between seasons, so confirm the final detail with the reservations desk when you book.

How far is each Muskoka town from downtown Toronto?

Road distances from a route planner, rounded. Times are off-peak; a summer Friday, a long weekend or a wet Sunday evening can add an hour or more each way.

FromRoad distance to TorontoTypical off-peak timeAllow on a busy day
Barrieabout 96 kmabout 1 h 152 h
Orilliaabout 130 kmabout 1 h 352 h 30
Gravenhurstabout 167 kmabout 2 h3 h 30 on a summer Friday
Bracebridgeabout 182 kmabout 2 h 153 h 45
Huntsvilleabout 219 kmabout 2 h 354 h

A 7 pm start from Huntsville means leaving around lunchtime. The delay lives on Highway 400 south of Barrie, and our guide to Highway 400 and 11 cottage traffic explains the weekly pattern. Ontario 511 shows live incidents, closures and highway cameras before you set out.

The route pages for Toronto to Gravenhurst, Toronto to Bracebridge and Toronto to Huntsville carry the full comparison for each town, and the Toronto to Muskoka overview covers the region.

Car, bus, GO train or driving yourself: how do the options compare?

GO Transit or TTC in TorontoLast leg onlyPublic fare, set by the operatorLight bagsThe hop from Union Station once you are in the city

Ontario Northland and other operators publish their own timetables and fares; check the Ontario Northland site for what is running on your date. Intercity services are built around daytime travel, and an evening game rarely lines up with the last return service.

When is the bus, train or GO the better choice?

If you are one person, the event is a weekday matinee and a bus leaves and returns at times that suit you, take the bus. If you are already in Toronto for the weekend and only need to get from your hotel to the arena, use the TTC or GO from Union Station; Scotiabank Arena is linked to it. A short hop inside the city does not need a car from 170 km away.

Rogers Stadium is the clearest example. The venue points concert-goers to Downsview Park station, about a 10-minute walk, and says the last Barrie line GO train to Union Station leaves at 11:55 pm. If you are staying in the city after the show, that works. If you are going home to Muskoka, a train to Union Station does not get you there.

Flying into Toronto before a game? The Toronto Pearson transfer page covers the airport leg, and the Muskoka hub, routes hub and services hub list everything else. For a five-minute hop in your own town, a local taxi is fine. We are not a street taxi, and the Muskoka taxi alternative page explains the difference.

When does a private chauffeured car win?

  • Three or more travellers. One vehicle for the group beats three bus seats and a walk from the terminal.
  • Late finishes. Overtime or an encore ends well after the last public service north.
  • Kids and car seats. Child seats, toddler seats and booster seats are booker options; see child seats and family travel.
  • Cottage luggage and gear. Jackets, a stroller, a bag of merchandise.
  • Mixed pickups. One family from a Bracebridge dock, another from Port Carling, dinner in between. Extra stops and return trips ride on one booking.
  • Privacy. You can ask the desk to keep your details private, and NDAs are available on request.

Check your fixed fare

What are the Rogers Centre and Scotiabank Arena drop-offs like?

Both venues sit a short walk from Union Station, which is why the TTC and GO crowds funnel through the same few streets. On a game night, arriving cars share the roads with streetcars, delivery trucks and pedestrians. Stopping at the kerb nearest your gate is not always possible, so the chauffeur stops where it is safe and legal, which may be a block or two away. For small children or a guest who moves slowly, say so in a note with the booking.

Parking is the other half. The arena page says its garage opens one hour before the event, has a 2 m height limit and lists a flat $50 fee as of 2026, card only. A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is taller than that limit, so a group in an Executive Sprinter needs a different plan from a group in a Business SUV. Give the desk the venue and the vehicle class, and the drop-off and pickup points are agreed in advance.

What about BMO Field and Exhibition Place?

BMO Field sits inside Exhibition Place, whose published address is 100 Princes' Boulevard. Toronto FC home matches and other events fill the grounds, and the streets around them change on event days.

A late match that ends after 9 pm still leaves a 170 km drive home. If your group would otherwise travel in two cars from different towns, consider one larger vehicle: the Business SUV takes up to six passengers and six bags, the Executive Sprinter up to twelve. For a match with a pre-game dinner downtown, ask for a multi-stop booking: Muskoka to dinner, dinner to the grounds, the grounds back to your door, with the fare for the whole itinerary fixed before you pay.

How does a concert at Rogers Stadium in Downsview work?

Downsview sits at the northern edge of Toronto, so it is the shortest run in from Muskoka of the four venues. It is also the most rule-bound for a car. From the venue's published guidance:

  • The pick-up and drop-off lot is at 111 Beffort Rd., on the west side of the road. Drive north on Dufferin Street, which becomes Beffort Road north of Wilson Avenue.
  • After drop-off, signs lead to a pedestrian path to all three gates. Nobody can walk in from Beffort Road.
  • No idling and no parking in the lot. Vehicles doing either are towed.
  • Carl Hall Road, Sheppard Avenue West and Wilson Avenue have been closed on concert days at set hours. Check the venue's current notices for your date.

So the car drops you, then leaves; it cannot sit in the lot. Put the gate you will leave from and your expected finish time in a note with the booking, then message the reservations desk when the show is ending so the pickup timing is right. Do not leave it to chance in a crowd of thousands, all looking for a ride.

How do you plan the pickup and the drive home after the game?

Highway traffic thins after about 10:30 pm, but the road north of Barrie is darker and quieter, and winter weather can change quickly. A chauffeur who drives this corridor every week knows which stretches need extra care. You can sleep, talk or check the score. There is no drinking in our vehicles (a bottle can still be added in the booker as a sealed gift); the point of a late car is that nobody has to be the designated driver. Check Ontario 511 before you leave the venue as well as before you leave home.

Free waiting is 15 minutes on non-airport pickups, counted from the agreed pickup time. At a stadium that is not much: extra innings turn a three-hour game into four, and encores never end on schedule. Three ways to plan for it:

  1. Book by the hour. Hourly hire is a booker mode, so a delayed finish does not strand you.
  2. Set the pickup time conservatively. Ten minutes after the scheduled end is wiser than the minute it ends.
  3. Message the desk. The reservations desk runs 24/7. If the game goes to overtime, say so.

Use a note with the booking for a landmark near your exit gate or a name to ask for. See hourly chauffeur service for how by-the-hour hire works.

Which vehicle fits your group?

Vehicle names are fixed; the model is confirmed at booking.

  • Executive Sedan: up to 3 passengers, 2 large bags.
  • Mercedes E / S-Class (Mercedes-Benz E-Class and up): up to 2 passengers, 2 bags.
  • Business SUV or Executive First Class SUV: up to 6 passengers, 6 bags; the best all-round choice for most games.
  • Executive Sprinter: up to 12 passengers, 12 bags, for a team and coaches.
  • Jet Sprinter Executive: up to 7 passengers, 5 large bags.
  • Stretch Limousine up to 8, Stretch SUV Limousine up to 14, Party Bus up to 14: little luggage (minimal, 4 large bags and 2 large bags respectively), availability confirmed at booking.

The fleet page has the full list; party bus and stretch limo and Sprinter and group transportation cover larger parties. Coaches with 20 to 56 seats are available on request.

Can a chauffeur take clients and staff to an event?

Yes. A corporate account puts the whole office on one monthly invoice, with the cost centre or PO number in the booking notes; see corporate accounts and executive car service. Guests at a resort such as Deerhurst are usually best collected from the lobby or dock, and resort arrival times and event schedules rarely coincide, so ask for a pickup time that leaves room for both.

What does it cost and how does booking work?

We do not publish fares here, because the fare depends on your exact pickup, drop-off and vehicle. The booker shows one fixed, all-in fare before you pay, with HST included. How private car fares work explains what moves a fare.

Cancellation, counted from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours' notice, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or a no-show, 100%. Peak dates may carry a different deadline, printed on the confirmation. Book a few days ahead for a playoff run or a stadium concert.

Frequently asked questions

How far is Muskoka from Rogers Centre?

From Gravenhurst about 167 km by road, usually two hours off-peak; from Bracebridge about 182 km and from Huntsville about 219 km. A summer Friday or a game-night return can add an hour or more, so plan around the busier estimate.

Is there a limo from Muskoka to a Blue Jays game?

Yes. MuskokaLimousineServices.com takes pre-booked trips from Muskoka to Toronto venues. You book online, the fixed all-in fare is shown before payment, and a return trip can sit on the same booking.

Can I book a return trip home after the final out?

Yes. A return trip is a booker option. Enter the scheduled end time with a buffer, or choose hourly hire if the game or concert could run long.

How long will the chauffeur wait at the venue?

Fifteen minutes free waiting applies to pickups that are not at an airport. For stadium pickups, many people prefer hourly hire. Tell the reservations desk if your event may overrun.

Can the car drop us at the gate?

As close as is safe and legal. Rogers Stadium has a dedicated drop-off lot; the downtown venues are hemmed in by city streets. Mention mobility needs in a note with the booking.

Is the GO train or the bus better than a car from Muskoka?

For a solo daytime trip, possibly. For a group, a late finish, kids or luggage, the car usually wins. Check the operators' timetables for your date and compare them honestly with the fixed fare in the booker.

Can we travel in a Sprinter or party bus to a concert?

Yes. An Executive Sprinter carries up to 12 passengers with 12 bags. Stretch limousines and party buses carry little luggage and availability is confirmed at booking. There is no drinking in our vehicles (a bottle can still be added in the booker as a sealed gift).

What if the event is postponed?

Tell the reservations desk as soon as you know. The cancellation rules count from the scheduled pickup, and peak dates may have a different deadline printed on your confirmation.
