16 Muskoka towns · 20 airports

Cottage, resort and airport cars from Gravenhurst to Dorset and Parry Sound, to Pearson, Billy Bishop, Muskoka Airport and every major airport in Ontario; fly-in arrivals from the rest of Canada met through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network.

Waterloo Region and Guelph are the places a surprising number of Muskoka's cottage owners, seasonal workers, students and wedding guests call home. The towns are west of Toronto and well off the Highway 400 corridor, which makes the drive to the lakes less obvious than it looks on a map. MuskokaLimousineServices.com runs the muskoka to kitchener, waterloo and guelph trip as a pre-booked chauffeured transfer, one way or return, with a fixed fare the online booker shows before you pay.

This page is about the road between these towns and the lakes. If you are flying into Breslau and need a car at the terminal, the Kitchener-Waterloo airport page covers the flight-day side.

How far is it from Muskoka to Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph?

Gravenhurst is about 240 km from Kitchener, 245 km from Waterloo, 226 km from Guelph and 229 km from Cambridge. That is roughly 2 h 25 to 3 h 05 off-peak. Bracebridge is 16 km further and Huntsville about 50 km further. Add an hour or more on a summer Friday or holiday Monday.

The distances come from a route-planner check in October 2026, rounded. The times widen that check for real highway speeds, so use them as planning numbers rather than promises.

Guelph and Cambridge are the closest, which surprises people who think of Waterloo Region as the centre of the west. Orillia is the natural halfway meeting point if two families are travelling from different directions: it is about 189 km from Guelph and 202 km from Kitchener, and Gravenhurst is only about 37 km beyond it.

Two routes, and why the chauffeur picks on the day

This corridor offers a genuine choice, and it depends on conditions.

  1. Highway 401 east and Highway 400 north. From Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge the 401 runs east along the top of the western GTA. The advantage is high-speed highway all the way; the cost is the merge near Highway 400, the busiest on a Friday.
  2. The cross-country road. Highway 7 links Kitchener and Guelph, Highway 24 links Cambridge and Guelph, and country roads including Highway 6 and Highway 89 carry you east to join Highway 400 near Cookstown, avoiding most of the GTA. It is a two-lane road in places, and it can be quicker than the 401 on a Friday afternoon or slower when a farm vehicle is ahead.

Either way, you finish on Highway 400 to Barrie and Highway 11 from there to Orillia, Washago, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville. For a full guide to the shared part of the route, read our Highway 400 and 11 traffic guide. Ontario 511 shows live road conditions, construction and camera images, and the chauffeur uses it.

GO Transit's Kitchener line serves Kitchener GO at 126 Weber Street West and Guelph Central GO at 79 Carden Street, as well as Acton, Georgetown and stations in Brampton, and GO describes a plan to make the line two-way and all-day over several years. From Toronto's Union Station, the Ontario Northland coach continues to Washago, Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville; Ontario Northland publishes the timetable. The two legs together take most of a day and need a connection in Toronto, so this is a plan for a light traveller with time. A Northlander passenger train for the corridor has been announced, with no confirmed start date when this page was written.

When the private car is the better choice

  • Three or more travellers. One vehicle, one fare, and one pickup at your door.
  • Wedding weekends. Guests, bridal parties and families from Waterloo Region regularly head to Muskoka venues; see the Muskoka wedding limo page.
  • Retreat teams. A company in Waterloo Region taking its team to a lakeside retreat can use an Executive Sprinter, which takes up to twelve passengers and twelve bags, or a coach of 20 to 56 seats on request. See the corporate retreat page.
  • Cottage luggage and groceries. A Business SUV or Executive First Class SUV takes up to six and six bags.
  • Children. Child, toddler and booster seats are options in the booker.
  • Privacy. You can ask the desk to keep your details private, add a note with the booking, and ask for an NDA.

When something else is the better choice

If you are alone and the destination is Barrie rather than the lakes, public transport gets you close. If you drive up every week and leave your car at the cottage, driving is simple. If you are heading across town in Kitchener, Waterloo or Guelph, a local taxi is the sensible choice; we are not a street taxi and we do not hail or run a meter. A long trip, a group, heavy luggage or an inflexible schedule is where a private car earns its place.

Oktoberfest, and other reasons to book a driver

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is the biggest annual reason people in this corridor ask for a chauffeur. According to the festival, the 58th edition runs from 25 September to 17 October 2026, with the Thanksgiving Day Parade on Monday 12 October starting at 9:30 a.m. at Weber Street East and Frederick Street. The festival lists Festhallen at the Alpine Club, Concordia Club, Hubertushaus, Schwaben Club and Transylvania Club, outdoor programming in downtown Kitchener, and an Oktoberfest lunch in Cambridge on 14 October. Dates move every year, so look at the official Oktoberfest site rather than relying on this page.

For a Muskoka visitor, the logistics are simple. Book the ride to Waterloo Region for the Friday or Saturday, book the return for the next day, and leave the car at the cottage. A chauffeur plans the route home around the road, not the evening. There is no drinking in our vehicles (a bottle can still be added in the booker as a sealed gift).

Other occasions follow the same pattern: a university convocation, a family wedding in Guelph, a funeral in Cambridge, a trade show in Kitchener. Each is a day with a start time you cannot move.

What is in the fixed fare

The booker shows one total for your exact pickup, drop-off and vehicle, and the 13% HST is included in it. Return trips and extra stops go on the same booking, and hourly hire is also a mode. Because a Guelph to Gravenhurst run differs from a Waterloo to Huntsville run in a Sprinter, we do not print fares on the page; the booker shows the exact figure.

Models are "or similar", confirmed at booking. Stretch limousine, stretch SUV limousine and party bus take little luggage, and availability is confirmed at booking, as it is for Mercedes-Maybach; Rolls-Royce is on request through the reservations desk, with availability confirmed in writing. See the fleet page.

Corporate accounts and executive travel

Waterloo Region is a business corridor, and many of its trips are on a company account. Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing are available, and multi-stop trips can combine a pickup in Waterloo, a stop in Guelph and a drop at a retreat in Muskoka on one booking. For senior travellers, the executive car service page describes the Mercedes E / S-Class and the Jet Sprinter Executive. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and our chauffeurs are not security officers: a VIP security guard can be added in the booker, and we also work alongside a client's own security team.

Getting around Muskoka after you arrive

Once you are north, the district is a string of towns on Highway 11 and a ring of lakes. Start at the Muskoka hub, then the Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville pages. For travellers coming from the east of the same region, the Muskoka to York Region route page covers Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill and Newmarket. For a bigger trip, the Niagara Falls route page shows the other long run. The Toronto Pearson page covers flights, and the routes hub lists every trip.

Frequently asked questions

How long is the drive from Guelph to Muskoka?

From Guelph to Gravenhurst it is about 226 km and 2 h 25 to 2 h 55 off-peak. Bracebridge is about 242 km, and Huntsville about 277 km. On a summer Friday or holiday Monday, allow an extra hour or more depending on the road.

Is there a bus from Muskoka to Kitchener or Waterloo?

Not directly. The Ontario Northland coach runs from Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville to Toronto's Union Station Bus Terminal, and the GO Transit Kitchener line connects Toronto with Kitchener. It means two legs and a connection, so most passengers with luggage prefer a pre-booked car.

Which road does the car take from Kitchener?

The chauffeur chooses on the day. One option is Highway 401 east and Highway 400 north. The other crosses country via Guelph and Highway 89 to join Highway 400 near Cookstown. Both finish on Highway 11 for the lakes, and live conditions decide.

Can I book a car for Oktoberfest and the return to Muskoka?

Yes. Book the trip down on the day you need and the return on the next, or reserve a return on the same booking. Check the official festival site for the year's dates, and tell the desk about any pickup time you cannot move.

How much is a limo from Waterloo to Muskoka?

The booker shows the fixed all-in fare for your exact pickup, drop-off and vehicle before you pay. It has 13% HST included, and nothing is added at the end of the trip. We keep fares off the page because every town and vehicle class has its own total.

Can a group from Waterloo Region book a Sprinter?

Yes. An Executive Sprinter takes up to twelve passengers and twelve bags, and a Jet Sprinter Executive takes up to seven passengers and five bags. Coaches of 20 to 56 seats are available on request. Availability and the exact model are confirmed at booking.

Do you pick up at Kitchener GO or Guelph Central GO stations?

Yes, a station is a normal pickup address, and the booker lets you enter it like any other. If you arrive by GO train and want a car to the lakes, give the station name in the booking and a note about the train you are on.

Can the chauffeur make a stop on the way?

Yes. Extra stops go on the same booking, and hourly hire is also a booker mode. A stop for groceries, a meeting or a relative on the way from Guelph or Cambridge to the lakes can be reserved with one fixed fare for the whole trip.
