16 Muskoka towns · 20 airports

Cottage, resort and airport cars from Gravenhurst to Dorset and Parry Sound, to Pearson, Billy Bishop, Muskoka Airport and every major airport in Ontario; fly-in arrivals from the rest of Canada met through the LimousineWorldwide.Directory network.

A private aircraft changes the question. Nobody on board is looking for a taxi rank or a coach stop; the real questions are where the car meets the aircraft, who knows the arrival time, and how quietly the next hour passes. MuskokaLimousineServices.com is a pre-booked chauffeur service, and the private jet Muskoka passengers we serve usually ask for the same four things: a car at the FBO door, a driver who tracks the flight, discretion, and a vehicle that suits the luggage.

How does a private jet transfer to Muskoka work?

You book a car for the airport and time your aircraft lands, naming the FBO (fixed base operator, the private terminal) and the passengers. The chauffeur tracks your arrival, meets you at the FBO door or curbside, and drives you to your lake. Muskoka Airport sits in Gravenhurst, and Toronto Pearson is about 170 km away.

The booking looks like any other airport transfer, with a few additions. You give us the airport, the FBO or handler's name, the aircraft's tail number or flight identifier if you have it, the number of passengers, the number of bags and any special handling. The booker shows the fixed all-in fare before you pay, and you can add a note with the booking on the same screen.

Muskoka Airport (YQA): what to know

Muskoka Airport, with the code YQA, is the nearest runway to most of the lakes. The District of Muskoka's airport page gives the address as 1011 Airport Road, Gravenhurst, describes it as a Transport Canada-certified airport, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, year-round, and names its users: business and leisure travellers, air ambulance operations, utilities and government agencies. It is owned by the District and operated by Muskoka Airport Inc.

To Pearson by roadabout 170 km, 1 h 46 off-peak

Runway and distance figures are rounded from public airport references and route planners; ask your handler for the current runway data before you rely on it. The airport has no scheduled jet service, though the Air Canada Landline coach, which Air Canada launched on 15 June 2026, runs between Muskoka Airport and Pearson. Our Muskoka Airport page covers the airport in detail, the airport transfers hub lists every other field, and the Muskoka Airport limo page covers the car.

How an FBO pickup works, step by step

  1. Book the transfer. Enter the airport, the FBO name or handler, passenger count and bags.
  2. Share the aircraft details. A tail number or flight identifier lets us follow your progress. If you only have your operator's estimated time of arrival, give us that.
  3. Confirm the meeting point. Some FBOs allow the car at a door beside the lobby; others use a parking area. Access to the apron is controlled by the airport and the FBO, and we never promise planeside access until the FBO confirms it.
  4. Land and clear any formalities. The chauffeur waits at the agreed point.
  5. Drive. Bags are loaded, a note on stops or timing is followed, and the trip begins.

Flight tracking is a standard part of an airport pickup, but a private aircraft can change its plans faster than an airline, and the handler's message is often the first sign. If your schedule moves, tell us as soon as you hear; we adjust the pickup. Our standard waiting is 60 minutes after an international landing, 30 after a domestic one and 15 on other pickups, and the desk confirms how that applies to your aircraft.

Which airport will your jet use?

The right field depends on where your aircraft can land, where you are going and whether you must clear customs.

Pearson has several general aviation terminals, and the names and ownership of those operators change over time, so we do not list them here. Ask your charter broker or aircraft manager for the FBO name on your flight plan, and enter it at booking. Our Pearson page covers the airline side of the airport.

Crossing the border: customs and why timing matters

If your aircraft arrives from outside Canada, passengers must clear Canadian customs at an airport of entry before they can leave the airport. Large airports have customs facilities on site. At smaller airports, clearance is arranged in advance through the Canada Border Services Agency by the pilot or operator, and the details differ by airport and season. The CBSA's older office directory now warns that it has moved to a new platform, so it is not a reliable guide to hours at Muskoka Airport. Your operator should confirm the arrangement for your date and passenger count with the CBSA directly.

See the services hub for the other ways we work. This matters to the car because the pickup time depends on clearance. A chauffeur arrives for the scheduled landing, then waits while customs is completed. Tell us when your operator expects the aircraft to be released to the FBO, not only when it lands.

From Pearson to the lakes

Many private flights land at Pearson rather than Muskoka because of the runway, the customs service or the fuel plan. Every Muskoka town we serve is on the Muskoka hub. From there, the road is the same as for airline passengers: Highway 400 to Barrie, then Highway 11 to Gravenhurst at about 170 km and 1 h 46 off-peak, Bracebridge near 185 km and Huntsville near 220 km. On a summer Friday afternoon, allow up to 3 h 30 to Gravenhurst. The highway traffic guide shows which hours are worst.

An honest alternative: if you are flying a charter anyway, ask whether the pilot can land at Muskoka Airport instead. A runway at Gravenhurst, a short drive from your dock, can save most of the highway. If the runway does not suit your aircraft, Pearson and the car is the answer.

Floatplanes and docks

Muskoka has a large number of water aerodromes, listed in public aviation directories at Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Port Carling, Bala and elsewhere on Lake Muskoka. Many are private, and Ontario 511 is the place to check the roads that lead to them. If your plan includes a floatplane, the meeting point is the dock or the road behind it, and only the operator can confirm that a dock is open to guests. We can bring the car to the nearest public road or marina and pick up there. Our page on marina and boat launch transfers explains how water-access properties are handled, and the Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph page shows which towns are on which lake.

Choosing the vehicle

Private aviation passengers tend to travel light, but there are exceptions: guests with golf bags, families with children, security equipment, a pet.

Vehicle classPassengersBagsWhen it fits
Mercedes E / S-Classup to 22A couple or principal travelling alone
Executive First Class SUVup to 66A family or small team with luggage
Jet Sprinter Executiveup to 75 largeAn executive group on a private-jet schedule
Executive Sprinter (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter)up to 1212A large party or a crew
Mercedes-Maybachup to 22Availability confirmed at booking
Rolls-Royce (on request, not in the booker)up to 22Availability confirmed in writing

Models are confirmed at booking and may be similar to those named. The fleet page shows every class, and luxury Maybach and Rolls-Royce hire explains those two. Child seats, toddler seats and booster seats are available as options, pets travel in a carrier (tell the desk about a pet when you book), and trained service animals travel free.

Privacy and discretion

Private flights are often private for a reason. You can ask the desk to keep your details private, give an alias name for the name board, and add a note with the booking. Chauffeurs do not photograph clients or post about trips, and non-disclosure agreements are available on request. Our chauffeurs are not security officers, though a VIP security guard can be added in the booker. If your party has its own security team, we work alongside it, and the chauffeur follows its lead on routes and timing. Read the VIP and private client transportation page for more.

Corporate accounts, multi-stop trips and return legs

A charter broker or aircraft manager often books repeatedly for the same clients. Corporate accounts with monthly invoicing are available, and a booking can include extra stops and a return trip. If the aircraft is staying overnight and you need a car on call, the hourly mode in the booker, covered on the hourly chauffeur page, suits a day of meetings. For a resort or retreat, see corporate retreat transportation.

Fares, changes and cancellation

The booker shows one fixed, all-in fare with HST included, and there is no rate card to compare. Cancellation is counted from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours' notice carries no charge, 72 hours or less is 10%, 48 hours or less is 50%, and 24 hours or less or a no-show is 100%. Peak dates may carry a different deadline, printed on the confirmation. Private flights move, so tell us as early as you know.

Frequently asked questions

Can the car meet the aircraft on the apron?

Only if the airport and FBO allow it, and we never promise it in advance. Access to the apron is controlled by the airport and the handler. The standard plan is a meeting point at the FBO door or curbside, agreed with your handler before you land.

Does Muskoka Airport have scheduled flights?

No scheduled airline flies there. The airport serves general aviation, charter, air ambulance and government users, and the Air Canada Landline coach connects it to Toronto Pearson. For a commercial arrival, most passengers fly into Pearson and drive about 170 km.

How far is Muskoka Airport from Bracebridge?

About 7 km, roughly 10 minutes by car. Gravenhurst's town centre is under 15 km away, and Huntsville is farther north on Highway 11. Check a route planner for your exact address, and tell us the lake road or fire number, the numbered sign that identifies a rural property in Ontario.

Do I need to tell you the FBO name?

Yes, wherever the airport has more than one. Pearson has several, and the wrong door can cost twenty minutes. Your charter broker, aircraft manager or flight planner has the name. Enter it in the booker, with the aircraft's tail number if you have it.

Can you work with my security team?

Yes. Our chauffeurs are not security officers, though a VIP security guard can be added in the booker, and we also work alongside a client's own team. The chauffeur will follow your team's lead on routes and timing, and you can ask the desk to keep your details private at booking. NDAs are available on request.

What vehicle suits a private-jet group?

An Executive First Class SUV carries six passengers and six bags, and a Jet Sprinter Executive carries seven with five large bags. For two people with light bags, a Mercedes E / S-Class suits. Availability of the Mercedes-Maybach is confirmed at booking, and a Rolls-Royce is on request through the reservations desk.

What happens if the aircraft is delayed?

Tell us or let your handler pass the message, and we move the pickup. Standard waiting is 60 minutes after an international landing and 30 after a domestic one. For a long delay, the desk can agree a revised time before the original one passes.
